Special Order your own KNIFE!
If you have a vision or you see a knife we have or have sold but would like it a different way. Well then let us help you make that happen. Taking existing knives and changing them to fit your vision or desire can now happen. Keep in mind that a basic shape is all I go by, each knife will be made as a one off with no two ever the same. You will not find a cookie cutter in our shop. Some lines change depending on the materials used etc. So while it might look exactly like the other, no pieces will inter change between them.
If you have a vision or design of your own I am willing to review it and work with you to make it a reality as well.
Another thing which I find to be very nice, During the actual construction of the knife you will receive photos of the knife in various stages of creation. From raw steel out of the forge to final sanding and polishing. You will see it literally take shape before your eyes. This will help you understand the uniqueness of the knife. Generally it will take 6 to 8 weeks to receive your knife from time of order depending on how its configured. If certian materials are required and have to be located to make it "Perfect" such as just the right Ivory handles, more time should be expected.
A wonderful example of this is pictured below. The first knife is the original and the one below it is the knife that was made with the changes the customer wanted. The shape and the carved Ivory are bascially the same while he changed the Blade steel from Twisted to Raindrop pattern and also changed the back file pattern from "Waves" to "Vine" which he perferred. Lastly, his knife was made to open with the left hand requiring all internal parts to be reversed.

Steel Patterns to choose from
All you need to do is select the patten of the steel you would like used in the knife. Below are pictures of several different patterns you can select from. All steel patterns are available in both standard Carbon steel and our Blue Steel. So if you don't see a picture of it, well it does not mean it can't be done. After those you will see pictures of the various patterns which will be hand filed into the back of the knife. Click any picture to ENLARGE.
This is a "Ladder" pattern done in Blue Steel. This also can be done is standard Carbon Steel if you perfer.
This is a "Twist" pattern done in standard Carbon steels.
This is a "Raindrop" pattern done in standard Carbon steel. This also can be done in Blue Steel if you perfer.
File patterns to select from.
The file pattern is a very important part of every knife. This is done completely by hand and adds a very special element to each knife. The pattern is done down the back of the knife as well as the inside of the knife which can be seen when the knife is open. The inside liners are polished to reflect the pattern for an awesome effect.
This a pattern called "The Vine" and it is also my personal favorite. This pattern will give the knife a sense of movement and grace as it moves up the knife.
This pattern is called "Waves" as it rises and falls as it moves up the knife. another feature of this pattern is that as the pattern moves toward the tip of the knife each wave segment becomes smaller.
This pattern is called "Bambo" and it resembles a stalk of Bambo as it grows toward the tip of the blade. This pattern as "Waves" also becomes smaller as it reaches the tip. Another feature I add to this one is that the liners are filed "In" and "Out" with the Bambo to give it a little more sense of movement.
This pattern is called "Thorns" as it isn't as semetrical as the others. This pattern is done to provide a little more bite and a little less order to the pattern down the knife.
