This knife was made with a vision in mind. I wanted to carve the handles so that out of this rough bark Tusk Ivory a point would appear. I wanted it to look like the bark pealed away. I used a beautiful Blue Steel blade that was forged with a Ladder pattern. Also on this knife I placed a 20 pt Diamond.
This is a picture of the handle. The effect turned out exactly as I had hoped! The Bark Ivory is wonderful and full
of character.
of character.
This is a photo of the back of the knife. This show how the back was filed to create the "Vine" pattern.
This photo show the Inside of the knife where the same pattern is filed to add even more. I generally like to do something to every surface and then have all the elements come together as a single piece.
Yet another example of how to add further to the knife. Here is a photo of the bottoms of the liners. I filed a micro pattern of the "Vine" into them.
this is the other side of the knife open to show the Mammoth Ivory and steel patterns
This picture shows the diamond in the thumb opener. You can also see the "BF" which is our mark for Beasley's Forge. All knives we make care this mark. Over all this is a wonderful knife full of character.
